In 1929, during the period of Governer Kazım (İnanç) Pahsa , Muhittin Basri
was the fıirst commissioner and Hasan Basri was the Head clerk of the stock
Exhange wich had begun to operate under the name of trade and Provision
Exchange in a building oppasite of the Mosgue Yalı. When the Commerce of
provision Exchange settled downstairs of Champer of commerce and Agriculture
on iskele street , it was poet Rüştü Coşkun who was the commissioner in
1931. The stock Exchange which was operating from 1944 to 1953 in this
address was dissolued in 1953 by the appeals of merchants.
There was no commercial Exchange from this time to 1968 in Samsun.The
elections were held on 21 Nowember 1968 when the ministry of commerce and
ındustry had decided to establish The commercial Exchange in 1968 Since the
profession groups hadn’t been organized , the Council Election was directly
held and the elections were realized by the members which had already been
chosen before.
The council had started to work to make good use of stock excahnge by
listing oily seeds, cereals and legumes and sent the listing to the Ministry
of Commerce to be approved.This listing was approved by the ministry on
24/04/1969. At the same time , there were some resignations.from the
original and reserve members. Because of the direction from the ministry of
commerce which told the reminder members to go on working, the stock
Exchange started to act legally on 28/08/1969 .
In Complience with the law 5590, act 1 , Samsun stock Exchange which was
responsible for providing the common interests of the members facilitating
their vocational activities. Found out that they should have some buildings
to carry out Works such as change Exchange ,loading unloading, weighing and
storage . To carry out all these Works insense of security they began to
search a state in 1970 .
The Stock Exchange in coopperation with Samsun Harbour had chosen a land
from the seashore , in order to contribute export and import and begun to
construct our own foundations after buying the land from the ministry of
finance and state Railways.Our Stock Exchange which had already begun to
operate in our own foundations on 1 st June 1984 , formed two other sections
in Havza and Vezirköprü inits 19 year , and another one in Salıpazarı inits
20 year.
In the 20 year of us , in order to take part in the product Exchange ,we
started to construct seed stock and organized laboratory fort he sake of the
whole region . In 2003 our stock Exchange interested to construct animal
stock in Samsun and has already sent the projets to the related ministries
and demanded a suitable place. We are stil working on this Project.
Nowadays , Samsun Trade Stock Exchange has an active role with contributions
to the economic devalopment of our city and our region . We are stil doing
our best to contribute economic and cultural devolopments of our city samsun
with the supports of our members.
